Focused on promoting good health and well-being through advancing complete Menstrual Health and Hygiene

This program is aimed at providing comprehensive adolescent health education, specifically targeting those in rural/ hard to reach areas. Focused on promoting good health and well-being through advancing complete Menstrual Health and Hygiene. We aim to cover aspects such as:
  • Improving access to hygienic and affordable reusable sanitary pads for girls and women. (Girls need access to reusable sanitary pads because it significantly improves their health, education and overall well-being. Many girls in Uganda miss school due to lack of access to sanitary wear, leading to gaps in their education and limiting their future opportunities. Fahari pads provide a sustainable and cost-effective solution, allowing girls to manage their menstruation with dignity and without interruption to their daily lives.)
  • Sharing accurate knowledge and information of menstruation as a normal stage of growth and how to manage it with the aim of boosting life skills among young people. (Menstrual Health education is crucial for young people to promote their overall well-being and empowerment. Our sessions help to break the stigma surrounding menstruation, promote proper hygiene practices, allows young people to understand and manage their Reproductive health effectively. By providing this education, we empower young people make informed choices, debunk menstrual myths and advocate for their Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights. This has led to improved health outcomes, improved girl child retention in schools, increased opportunities for personal and professional growth. )
  • Working with other stakeholders to build period friendly communities. (Collaborating with various stakeholders is essential for building period- friendly communities. By taking a Multi-sectoral approach, we create comprehensive and sustainable initiatives to address menstrual health challenges. Through partnerships, we are contributing to strategies that ensure access to sanitary products, improve sanitation facilities and integrate menstrual health education into school programming. Engaging with stakeholders also fosters a supportive environment that promotes open discussions, reduces stigma and ensures that the unique needs of rural communities are effectively addressed. )
